There
are two options for International Volunteers depending on the size of the group,
preference, and availability. Volunteers will have the option of
independent living or host families.
Host
Family
Volunteers
who are interested in living with a host family will be matched with a local
family based on interest, compatibility, and availability. All volunteers
are garenteed electricity and a bathroom with running water but cannot
guarentee warm water throughout your stay. Host families are a great way
to fully, immerse yourself in the culture and language by experiencing
family life and traditional food.
Refreshments,
snacks, un-programmed excursions and travel, etc. will be the responsibility of
the international volunteer.

Family Weekly program costs:
Volunteers
aiming to stay less than a month are charged weekly fees. Program fees for
weekly volunteers start at $300 a week and are not subject to discounts.
Independent
Living
Volunteers
who are interested in Indendepent Living or are volunteering in large
groups will stay in either cabanas or posadas. Large groups will be
provided one meal a day by a local volunteer and will be able to prepare any
additional snacks and meals from groceries provided by the Auris Project.
Independent Living is a great way to relax and experience the
tranquility of Estacion Catorce.
Refreshments,
snacks, un-programmed excursions and travel, etc. will be the responsibility of
the international volunteer.
